Recently, in the Qingdao Bonded Port Logistics Park, the first batch of tuna from Zhonglu Haiyan Company arrived at the port for unloading in 2023.

With a loud command whistle, tuna from the Somali waters of the Indian Ocean were pulled out of a shipping warehouse at minus 60 degrees Celsius by workers, and operated simultaneously by two cranes, which were hoisted into a frozen container on the shore for loading and transferring to the "China Tuna Trading Center" of Sino Ocean Shipping Company for trading.

It is reported that the 14 longline fishing vessels of China Shandong Haiyan Company have transferred to the Somali waters of the Indian Ocean for fishing operations since January 2023. After sailing for 2 months, they have harvested 920 tons of high-quality tuna. The single vessel yield and daily yield have repeatedly exceeded the peak, which can be described as a full harvest.

The longline fishing fleet of China Shandong Haiyan Company has once again entered two high-quality fishing grounds, Somalia and Tanzania, with fishing vessels operating in the high seas of the Indian Ocean and the exclusive economic zones of coastal countries, making it the largest tuna longline fishing fleet in China in this area. In 2022, the tuna fishing volume was 2895 tons, occupying an important position in the country. In the future, Zhonglu Haiyan Company will continuously improve the level of ocean fishing, deeply cultivate the "deep sea granary", secure the Chinese rice bowl, and contribute to the corporate mission of "enabling more Chinese people to eat dark blue, green, healthy, and perfect tuna".
